You raised some geeky kids with what could be called "Autistic Tendencies", however, I think we're all outside of the actual autism spectrum. However, I think it would be perfectly valid to place geekiness somewhere between "typical" society and autism. I liked the comparisons you made between the two and in light of what I have observed, your conclusion is correct. Is the geeky personality a genetic step towards autism, perhaps?
